Shadow Box Card

Hello my dears, after removing the christmas decorations, there is a lot of empty space to fill, so I decided to make some new decorations ... today I'd like to show a shadow box card.

Stamps:
So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection 2009: Cozy Tilda,
Winter Collection 2008: Winter Day Background
Halloween & Autumn Collection 2008: Stock
Winter & Christmas Supplement 2007: Small Snowman
Papers:
White Christmas "Winter Wonderland" and "Frosty Fir"

I've made a step-by-step tutorial for the shadow box card ... the pictures are from my christmas Shadow Box card I made last year:

I found the idea at Splittcoaststampers and made step by step pictures for you.

What you'll need:
  • Bone folder (for scoring) or ScorPal
  • Sticky Strip
  • Cutting Die like Nestabilities or a template
  • Two pieces of cardstock (12 cm x 18 cm or 5" x 7“)
  • Stamps
  • Embellishments for decorating

Score both cardstock pieces at 1,5 cm, 3 cm, 15 cm and 16,5 cm (or ½“, 1“, 6“ and 6 ½“). Cut a window of your choice in one of the cardstock pieces (centered)

You can now stamp on the cardstock or add some papers and make a frame for the window. These are the pieces for my card:

You add now your main motive to the cardstock without a window, the folded sides are looking upside. Now you adhere both pieces of cardstock together like it's showing in the pictures.

Now the really creative part begins ... decorate :)

Stamps:
Holiday Collection 2008: Tilda with Heart Ornament, Heart Ornament, Christmas Present with Bow, Ticket Loving Christmas Wishes, Fir Branch
New Years Collection 2008: Swirl
Papers:
Lazy Summer Days Collection "Strawberry Dot"

From the sides the card looks like that:

You can send the card in an envelope when you squeeze it...
